How it works
Add your family
A nickname and an age range for each person. Add pregnancy or skin concerns if you like. No names, no photos.
Scan any product
Scan the barcode, or snap the ingredient list in the store aisle or at home.
See a verdict per person
One of four plain answers for each family member, with the ingredient and the reason behind it.
Built to be trusted
Rules, not guesses
Verdicts come from fixed rules based on published guidance. AI only reads the label. Before launch, a board-certified US dermatologist will review the rules.
No scare words
We say "good fit" or "use with care", never "toxic". Every flag shows its source, so you can check it yourself.
Profiles stay on your phone
Ages, pregnancy and skin concerns never leave your device. We don't sell data or take money from brands.

Questions
Is this medical advice?
No. Family Shelf gives ingredient information to help you choose products. For skin conditions, pregnancy or medications, talk to your doctor.
Can my teen use it on their own?
Not yet. Accounts are for parents 18+. Your kids are profiles under your account, not users.
What ages do you support?
At launch: ages 8–12, 13–17 and adults, including pregnancy. Baby and toddler rules are next, and founding members get them first.
When do I get the app?
We plan to launch on iPhone in spring 2027. Founding members get early TestFlight access. If we don't launch, you get a full refund.
